MÖTLEY CRÜE's NIKKI SIXX Raises Funds For Youth Charity

October 3, 2006

Andrea Miller of Canoe Live reports that MÖTLEY CRÜE bassist Nikki Sixx helped hand over a novelty cheque at the Platinum Lounge inside the Air Canada Centre for a personal cause.

Sixx was decidedly temperate as he took part in bringing his fundraising initiative, Running Wild in the Night, to Covenant House Toronto. What began as an effort to help out homeless youth in Los Angeles has spread to Canadian soil with the help of Redken Canada's cut-a-thon, which saw Toronto and out-of-town stylists volunteer to raise money for troubled youth as a Canadian counterpart to Sixx's cause.

Sixx spoke quietly, without a hint of rock star bravado, applauding Redken's money-raising efforts and exchanging hearty handshakes with Joe Giraldi, owner of Oakville's Many Faces Salon, an integral part of the local fundraising.
